Just Another Day With New Boss~~~

Lots of things happened today...
I will try to make it as short as possible...
I'm very lazy to write too much anyway...

First of the the Town Hall Meeting in the early morning...
Seriously I really had no idea at all what the hack is a Town Hall Meeting...
And I can't help myself thinking of computer games like Civilization or Age of Empire or Heroes... I don't know why...
Anyway... It was just a new year speech by our new boss... The biggest one...
And to my surprise... He is one of the person I always meet in the office in the early morning...
We always greet each other morning as he and I was among the few people that will be in the office in such an early hour...
But I always thought he was just one of the hundreds ordinary colleagues that I never know who they are...
Aiyah... When I meet him next time I shall polish polish a bit his shoes liao... ^^...

Anyway he seem like a nice and funny guy...
Though there were lots of rumors about him when he was announced as our new boss...
Like how he beat TheFatAss over this position...
Anyway... Rumors were the best and only entertainment for a boring office... Don't you think...

He talk a lot and joke a lot during the speech...

Example...
For this year we will try to go for paperless working environment...
And of course I didn't mean that we won't use a single paper but would be reduce it's usage to the minimum...
It would be the best if we can reduce our printer to only one...
Then I shall place the printer in my office and who ever want to print anything will have to email to me...
But don't you guys worry... Paperless will not apply in the toilet...

And the best thing that I heard from his 90 minutes speech was that the company is trying to come out a road map for technical person...
My company is one of the biggest software house in Malaysia but didn't look like a development centre at all...
People that involve in management is way more than people that doing development...
Even as an Analyst Programmer myself... My workload consist of 99% of management or support work and 1% of coding...
A road map for technical personnel would be a big help for me to advance to the higher level of my career without jumping myself into the management pool...
Thrust me... Manage code is far more easier than manage a person...
Because the code is dead but a person is not...

Then I had a long meeting with TheEmperor on my appraiser...
Basically my performance met whatever expected by TheEmperor but just not outstanding enough...
But he understand as well due the tasks that he assigned to me was really difficult for a technical person like me to be outstanding...
How much you can perform for organizing conference call anyway...
Still he said that he had given me a very high rate for my performance...
But he was giving me a high rate just because he wanted to promote me...
And he wanted to promote me because he had given me the wrong rank when I join the company...
I was doing extra work than my rank all this while... Kanasai... How sad is that... T_T...
Anyway... This is just a review meeting...
Things might change in the end...
TheEmperor might even just bluff me to make me happy...
So I better wait for the official announcement from HR...

You know lar... Election was near...
People start to bluff already...

Our office was facing some power outage after lunch...
Luckily I just save up my document one second earlier before my monitor goes blank...
And the outage goes on for hours...
So basically today I just work for around two hours...
One hour in the morning after the Town Hall Meeting...
Another hour in the evening when the electricity finally resumed around 5pm...
Since nothing to do without the computer...
So I just took pictures... ^^...
